Mitsumi Distribution, a leading and fastest growing technology distributor across Africa, has announced that the recently concluded Toshiba channel event was a great success. In a Press Release statement sent to Bizrika, the company confirmed that more than 150 channel executives participated, got trained and familiarized with the latest Toshiba PC technology.
The event was held on 5 June 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and aimed at outlining the Toshiba product roadmap to channel partners as well as discuss go-to-market and solution selling strategies.
Satyen Chokshi, Business Unit Manager at Mitsumi Distribution, said Ethiopia is a significant market for the company and he is happy to know that the event achieved great success. He noted that Mitsumi was able to deliver exceptional training, discussion and presentation to its channel partners.
As the company believes that channel executives are its main strength within the region, Mr Chokshi stressed that Mitsumi will grab every possible opportunity to help channel partners increase their productivity by empowering them with skills, support and knowledge.
Mitsumi showcased Toshiba’s latest technology including laptop models such as Toshiba Qosmio Z830, F750 and C850. The Qosmio F750 model features the new 15.6 inches glasses-free 3D display combined with NVIDIA® graphics and LED backlighting, bringing in stunning visuals. It also displayed the Harman Kardon® stereo speakers; 2D to 3D DVD conversion technology to improve 3D entertainment experience and the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processors that provide the capability of seamless multitasking.
Commenting on the event, Nelo Neves, African Regional Manager of Toshiba PSG, said Toshiba is excited to release its new product range and is looking forward to work with Mitsumi in teaching channel partners on matters relating to Toshiba products and technology. He added that the company will continue to deliver similar innovative technologies and products that have made Toshiba a well recognized brand in the international market.
